Diary Dates

These pages give information about coming events - Walks, Gatherings and special events - in the life of the Emmaus movement throughout Australia.  To see the events for just one area, go to the Communities page and click on the Community you are interested in.

Gatherings

Gatherings are the regular - usually monthly - get-togethers of members of a specific Emmaus Community.  To see some of the upcoming Gatherings throughout Australia click here.

Walks

For most people the three day Walk to Emmaus is the entry point to the Emmaus program and Community.  Walks are open to believing Christians who are actively involved in their local church, and the Walk program is designed to foster and encouragement that involvement.  To enquire about joining a Walk, click on your local Community in the Communities page, then go to that Community's Contacts page.

Going Fourth Days

A Going Fourth day is a one-day event developed by the Northern Inland Community and especially designed to bring together for inspiration, fellowship and training members of the local Emmaus, Chrysalis and Kairos Communities.  Here are some of the Going Fourth days scheduled for the coming months.  Communities interested in running a Going Fourth Day can download a manual here.

Chrysalis Flights

Chrysalis is a modified version of the Emmaus program designed especially for younger people - see the "C, A &K" tab above for more details.  Click here for some of the Chrysalis weekends planned for the coming months.

National Conference

The National Secretariat is the peak body consisting of all the Emmaus Communities in Australia.  It meets in a Conference each year, to share fellowship and ideas, to worship and praise together, and to vote on matters of governance.  Next year's Secretariat Conference is to be held in at the YMCA's Lake Dewar Lodge in Myrniong, Victoria (half way between Melbourne and Ballarat) hosted by the Maribyrnong-North West Community from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd April inclusive. 

The 2012 conference is planned for the first weekend in May in Canberra.  Keep the dates free!
